Spiritual Hospice Care: Compassionate Companions Contemplative End of life Care
At Yumtha we honor and support the 'living traditions' which cultivate one's consciousness through daily meditation practices that nurture our spirit and prepare one spiritually for the end of life, and the moment of death.
Whether one is facing death through aging, or the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness it can bring an opportunity for intimate and profound growth for individuals and their families. Our Spiritual Hospice is for those who want the support and care of Buddhist spiritual practices, and Contemplative traditions of Compassion and Mindfulness, for the families and the individual facing death and dying.
We offer a range of care, counseling, and meditation practices. For the dying, when desired, we offer spiritual music, and chants of compassion which are a gentle way to cascade music through all of the octaves of one’s being to ease the transition between life and death. This can bring greater comfort and spiritual connection during the dying process. In care-giving of our soul we use old and contemporary versions of the Tibetan Buddhist Scriptures, which guides one’s experience in the afterlife through the ancient spiritual practice of the “Great Liberation through Hearing.” |
